What the customer has to provide: Gene of interest cloned in any vector.

Generation, Identification and Purification of Recombinant Baculovirus
The service includes:
Cotransfection of recombinant Baculovirus transfer vector containing the gene of interest with linearized Baculovirus DNA.
Analysis of obtained recombinant Baculoviruses versus background control by end-point dilution.
Amplification of recombinant Baculovirus stock to a high-titer stock of over 1 x 10(8) virus particles per ml.
Titration of final high titer stock.

Amplification of Recombinant Baculovirus
This service includes:
Low titer recombinant Baculovirus solution will be amplified to a titer of at least 1 x 10(8) virus particles per ml.
Titration of amplified Baculovirus solution by plaque assay.
What the customer has to provide: 1 ml of recombinant Baculovirus solution.
What the customer will receive: 500 ml of high-titer recombinant Baculovirus stock solution.

Large-Scale Expression of Proteins from Recombinant Baculovirus
This service includes:
10(9) insect cells will be infected with recombinant Baculovirus (MOI of 5).
Three days after infection, cells will be harvested, frozen and shipped to customer along with high-titer Baculovirus supernatant obtained from the infected insect cells.
What the customer has to provide: 30 ml of high-titer recombinant Baculovirus solution.
What the customer will receive: 10(9) infected insect cells expressing the protein of interest. The cells will be shipped on dry ice. Additionally, customer will receive 1 liter of high-titer recombinant Baculovirus solution.

Maxi-Prep and Purification of High-Copy Number Plasmids (5-10 mg)
This service includes:
Transfection of plasmid of interest into appropriate host bacteria.
Large-scale preparation of desired plasmid using 500 ml of LB-broth.
Purification of plasmid (maxi-prep) over DNA affinity matrix.
Quantification by UV and gel electrophoresis. High copy number plasmids will give a yield between 5 to 10 mg.
What the customer has to provide: 1 µg of desired plasmid.
What the customer will receive: 5 to 10 mg of purified plasmid.
